Standup comedy is a therapeutic outlet for me. No better feeling than laughing and making people laugh. I love to share my culture and experiences through jokes.

Ed Amon is a regular panellist on RNZ’s The Panel, host of New Books in Australia and New Zealand Studies Podcast, and the comedy podcast Baboon Yodel AND columnist at the newspaper Hibiscus Matters. Having already performed two shows in the NZ Intl Comedy Fest, Ed has honed his craft well. As a Pakistani-born Muslim New Zealander, Ed tells jokes about his uniquely turbulent upbringing, cultural clashes and political perceptions with sharp punchlines and methodical pacing. He also loves a good fart joke.
